Wedding Questions

  • How much do you charge?

    The price for destination weddings in Italy is from €1389 depending on the destination. I'm located in Sardinia, but I will travel in all Europe.
    Prices outside Italy are from €2639.
    I don't charge travel fees, so this prices includes everything.
    I travel in all Europe.

  • Can I pay in installments?

    Yes, 3 or 6 monthly installments if you book in advance! But usually, I request the payment 3 weeks before the wedding. When you sign the contract you need to pay only a non refundable deposit to book flights and accommodation.

  • Will you travel?

    Yes, I live in Cagliari, Sardinia that's the second major island of Italy. I'm specialized in destination weddings. Basically I need to travel everytime to get out the island.

  • How far in advance should I book you?

    We take bookings up to one year in advance, but please note we have really limited availability. Only 15-30 events per year!
    If you contact me too late, there is an high possibility that I'm already booked.

  • What do I (wedding planner or venue planner) need to provide?

    I need only 1 chair and 1 large table or 2 medium table! The cards need to dry flat.

  • How many hours should I book you for?

    Minimum booking duration is 3 hours. M. Paola will work closely with you to determine the optimal number of hours required based on the unique aspects of your event and your desired outcomes. Rest assured, I'm committed to ensuring that your event receives the attention and coverage it deserves.
    It is not necessary to choose the number of hours based on the guests because not all guests will want portraits. For example, for events with 200 guests, I will never be able to paint them all. So, you can use my service according to your budget!

  • What paint do you use?

    I use watercolor!

  • How many portraits can you complete at one event?

    Each illustration featuring two individuals typically takes between 10-12 minutes to complete, accounting for any intricacies in outfits or details. We dedicated to working swiftly and efficiently to accommodate as many guests as possible, ensuring that each attendee receives their bespoke artwork during the event.

    Please, add also transition time between a portrait and another.
    Consider an average number of 6-10 portraits per hour, depending on the complexity of dresses.

    In one event I can paint max 65 guests. If you need to paint more guests, I can do extra portraits in my hotel the day next to the wedding.

  • Do you only live painting at weddings?

    No! I do all types events: birthdays, corporate, special events, weddings, etc...

  • Will you paint more than two people at a time?

    To ensure that as many guests as possible can treasure a personalized artwork, we typically limit each illustration to feature up to two individuals. This thoughtful approach allows us to accommodate the diverse array of attendees, ensuring that everyone leaves with a cherished memento of the occasion.
    I don't paint live animals, venues, landscapes, etc... only people!

  • Do guests need to remain seated during the live painting process?

    No! I will take a photo of the guest.They don't need to hanging, unless they want to watch!

  • Why your painting are faceless and basically in the same pose?

    Faceless is my signature. The same pose is a necessity to ensure as many guests as possible will get their portraits.

  • How can I book you?

    Fill out the form, and if your date is available, I will send you a quote. For further details, you can find plenty of information in the "How It Works" section.

  • Do you paint bride and groom?

    Of course, if the newlyweds decide to come to my table, I will paint their illustration card. This is not a live wedding painting, as many artists do.

  • How do guests know what they need to do?

    At my table, there will be a signage where guests can understand what I do. Sometimes I have an assistant that will take photos and engage with guests, answering any questions they may have. Additionally, we can make announcements about the service over the microphone. For small event, I do all by myself.
